Alix Jean Pierre is the director of the elementary section of Adoration Christian School. This includes Special Education and Kindergarten. This year there 12 teachers, 3 assistant teachers and about 200 students. Alix was born on March 28, 1965 in the town of Pestel which is east of Jeremie.
He is happily married to Claudine. They have five children: Herly Clarens, Marc Clary, Wendina, Flocie, and Carle Roude. They live within walking distance to the school. The family attends Eglise Presbyterienne Reformee de Delmas where Alix is a deacon.
Alix has been teaching for 19 years. During these years he taught Grades 1 through 6. The best thing that Alix likes about his job is that he gets to serve the community, the students, the teachers and the parents. He wants to give them information so that they can read and write and to know God more. He loves watching them develop sprititually and socially.
In his spare time Alix loves to spend time with his wife and children. He likes helping them with their homework or any other household chores. If given the chance Alix would love to travel and see other countries.
A lot of planning, a lot of thought, and a lot of time has been dedicated to our new high school program and today is the day that it all began. We have waited for this day for a very long time and we were excited to see it happen today. God has blessed us here at Adoration with the possiblity of opening a secondary program at Adoration Christian Centre.
We now have over 200 students doing devotions before school. |

Yesterday was the first day of school at Adoration Christian Centre.
Every day before school begins the students line up outside. While they are lined up they participate in singing of a song, reciting the memory text that they are learning, a prayer dedicating the day to God and singing one of the verses of the national anthem. There were lots of parents on hand yesterday to see their chilren begin a new school year. |
To begin the school year Evenz read Psalm 91 for the children. Pastor Octavius spoke for a little bit on Proverbs 1: 8 and 9. Alix, the director, took the time to go over some of the rules of the school year. He also encouraged the children to work hard and try their best in all the areas of school. |
All the teachers were introduced along with what grade their are teaching. |

We added two classes this year…a kindergarten and a special education class. We needed to buy more materials and hang new green boards. Here are some of the materials that we purchased. |
